COMMENTS BY PRESS SECRETARY TO THE SENIOR MINISTER - CALL ON SENIOR MINISTER GOH CHOK TONG BY GOVERNOR OF THE NIZHNY NOVGOROD REGION IN RUSSIA 

Mr Valery Shantsev, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region in Russia, called on Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong at the Istana this afternoon. Governor Shantsev, who is on a study visit to Singapore, updated SM on the economic opportunities in the Nizhny Novgorod region and invited Singapore companies to consider investing there. SM and Governor Shantsev also discussed possible ways for the two sides to further strengthen relations.
