Visit of Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong to the Republic of Korea

                Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong will make an official visit to the Republic of Korea (ROK) from 28 October - 31 October 2008 at the invitation of President Lee Myung-bak to participate in the "World Leaders Forum”, which commemorates the 60th anniversary of the founding of the ROK.  While in the ROK, Senior Minister, who had accepted President Lee’s invitation to be a “Friend of the ROK” in June 2008, will call on President Lee and attend dinners hosted by President Lee and Prime Minister Han Seung-soo, which are part of the “World Leaders Forum”.  Senior Minister will also meet Minister of Strategy and Finance Kang Man-soo, Minister of Knowledge Economy Lee Youn-ho and other ROK leaders, as well as prominent policy-makers and businessmen.  Senior Minister will be accompanied by senior officials.
