French minister calls on MM Lee


French Minister for the Economy, Industry and Employment Christine Lagarde called on visiting Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew in Paris yesterday.

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office in Singapore said they had a wide-ranging discussion on global issues, and exchanged views on how Singapore and France have dealt with the financial crisis.

Mr Lee has been in the French capital since Tuesday.

He is on a five-day visit to attend a meeting of the International Advisory Committee of French oil company Total International and to meet French government and business leaders.
