DPM Tharman Shanmugaratnam's Working Visit to the USA and France, 5 to 12 October 2016

Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies Tharman Shanmugaratnam will be visiting the United States and France from 5 to 12 October 2016.

 

Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies Tharman Shanmugaratnam will be visiting the United States and France from 5 to 12 October 2016.

DPM Tharman will be in Washington, DC to attend meetings of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) and speak at an IMF Seminar on Managing Inequality, Globalisation and Technology. He will also be speaking at a conference on global economic challenges organised by the Bretton Woods Committee, in conjunction with the Annual Meetings of the IMF and World Bank.

DPM Tharman will subsequently visit Paris, where he will deliver a talk on inclusive prosperity and globalisation, at the invitation of Banque de France (the French central bank) and France Stratégie, the official think tank of the French Government. DPM Tharman will also meet political and business leaders in Paris, and visit key institutions for continuous education.

DPM Tharman will be accompanied in Washington by Senior Minister of State for Finance and Law Indranee Rajah. He will also be accompanied by officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Finance and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
