Visit by Thai PM Srettha Thavisin - Oct 2023
His Excellency Srettha Thavisin, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, made an Official Visit to Singapore on 12 October 2023, at the invitation of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. PM Srettha received a ceremonial welcome at the Istana. PM Lee also hosted PM Srettha to an Official Lunch.
PM Lee and PM Srettha affirmed the strong and broad-based Singapore-Thailand partnership. They discussed ways to further enhance cooperation, especially in digital economy and renewable energy. PM Lee also thanked PM Srettha for Thailand's support for the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF)'s training in Thailand.
Both PMs also exchanged views on global and regional developments, and agreed on the need for close cooperation within ASEAN, especially on initiatives such as the Laos-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore Power Integration Project (LTMS-PIP), which will serve as an important pathfinder to an ASEAN power grid.
