Visit to the People's Republic of China - Jun 2025

Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong visited the People's Republic of China from 22-25 June 2025.

This was PM Wong’s first official bilateral visit outside of Southeast Asia. PM remarked that he had a fruitful and meaningful visit. PM had good discussions with China’s leaders— President Xi and Premier Li Qiang. PM and President Xi reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepen cooperation and bring our partnership to greater heights.

PM also thanked President Xi and Premier Li for their warm hospitality, and look forward to the opportunity to welcome them to Singapore in the future.

The visit was concluded with a heartwarming meeting with fellow Singaporeans based in China.
