National Day Rally 2009 (Pre-event press release)

This year’s National Day Rally speech by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will be broadcast ‘live’ on TV on Sunday, 16 August 2009 from 6:45pm.

6.45 pm: Malay & Mandarin
7.30 pm: Intermission
8.00 pm: English

Here are some ways Singaporeans can participate in this year’s National Day Rally: 

1. On Prime Minister’s Office and Channel NewsAsia's websites: Singaporeans can watch a ‘live’ webcast of the rally on their computers.
   
   
2. On REACH’s website: Netizens can give their feedback and discuss the key issues as PM Lee delivers his speech
   
   
3. On Twitter: Singaporeans can use #ndrsg as a common tag for their tweets about the National Day Rally.
   
   
4. On Facebook: REACH has set up an event page for Singaporeans to indicate that they will be watching the National Day Rally.
   
   
5. On YouTube: Highlights of the speech will be available on the Prime Minister’s office YouTube channel from 12pm, 17 August.
