PM Lee Hsien Loong to visit Putrajaya, Malaysia for Singapore-Malaysia Leaders' Retreat (Apr 2019)

PM Lee Hsien Loong will visit Malaysia from 8 to 9 April 2019 for the 9th Singapore-Malaysia Leaders’ Retreat hosted by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad. 

 

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will visit Malaysia from 8 to 9 April 2019 for the 9th Singapore-Malaysia Leaders’ Retreat hosted by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad. The annual Leaders’ Retreat is an important platform for Prime Ministers of both countries to discuss bilateral issues and explore new areas of cooperation.

 

On 9 April, Prime Minister Lee will have a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Mahathir in the morning, followed by a delegation meeting involving the two leaders and their accompanying ministers and senior officials. Prime Minister Mahathir and his spouse, Tun Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, will then host lunch for Prime Minister Lee, Mrs Lee and the Singapore delegation. 

 

Prime Minister Lee will be accompanied by Mrs Lee and a delegation comprising Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean; Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Minister for Transport Khaw Boon Wan; Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan; Minister for Communications and Information S Iswaran; Minister for Finance Heng Swee Keat; Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Grace Fu; Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing, Minister for National Development and Second Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong; and Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Masagos Zulkifli.
