PM Lee Hsien Loong will attend the 29th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, from 17 to 19 November 2022.

 

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will attend the 29th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM), chaired by Prime Minister of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha, from 17 to 19 November 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand.

APEC Economic Leaders will discuss ways to accelerate the recovery of the global economy through the promotion of balanced, inclusive, and sustainable growth, as well as trade and investment, including leveraging innovative approaches such as the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model. While in Bangkok, Prime Minister Lee will also hold bilateral meetings with other APEC Leaders on the sidelines of the AELM.

Prime Minister Lee will be accompanied by senior officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of Trade and Industry. During Prime Minister Lee’s absence, Mr Lawrence Wong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance will be the Acting Prime Minister.
