Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will make a working visit to China from 6 to 13 September 2010.

 

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will make a working visit to China from 6 to 13 September 2010. PM Lee will visit the municipalities of Chongqing and Shanghai and the cities of Changsha (Hunan province), Wuhan (Hubei province) and Suzhou (Jiangsu province).

PM is scheduled to meet the leaders from Chongqing, Hunan, Hubei and Jiangsu. In Chongqing, Hunan and Hubei, PM will visit key Chinese and Singaporean companies. PM will also visit the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) and visit the World Expo in Shanghai where PM will launch the East China leg of the Tasty Singapore Campaign at the Singapore Pavilion.

PM will be accompanied by Mrs Lee, Members of Parliament Dr Teo Ho Pin, Mrs Josephine Teo, Mr Michael Palmer and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade & Industry and the Economic Development Board. Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo will join PM’s delegation in Suzhou and Shanghai.

During PM’s absence, Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean will be the Acting Prime Minister from 6 to 13 September 2010.
