Singapore-Thailand Leaders' Retreat - Jun 2015

General Prayut Chan-o-cha, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, made an introductory visit to Singapore and attended the Singapore-Thailand Leaders’ Retreat from 11 to 12 June 2015.  At the Leaders’ Retreat, both Prime Ministers reiterated the importance of maintaining institutional linkages between the two governments. Following their discussion, the two Prime Ministers witnessed the signing of (i) a revised Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreement; (ii) Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Cruise Tourism; (iii) MOU on cooperation in the field of broadcast, audiovisual, animation, games and digital media; and (iv) MOU on promoting economic cooperation between the Singapore Manufacturing Federation and the Federation of Thai Industries. A joint press conference was held after the signings.

PM also hosted an official dinner banquet in honour of Prime Minister Prayut at the Istana on 11 June 2015 where he gave a toast speech.

Prime Minister Prayut was accompanied by his wife Associate Professor Naraporn Chan-o-cha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul and other senior Thai officials.
