Visit to China - Sep 2014

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong visited the People’s Republic of China from 11 to 18 September 2014, covering Guangdong (Guangzhou and Shenzhen), Guangxi (Guilin and Nanning) and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).  In Guangdong, PM met with Member of the Central Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee Hu Chunhua, as well as the Guangzhou and Shenzhen leaders. In Guangxi, PM delivered the keynote address at the joint Official Opening Ceremony of the 11th China-ASEAN EXPO (CAEXPO) and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) held in Nanning, in Singapore’s capacity as the Country-of-Honour for the 11th CAEXPO. PM also held separate meetings with Vice Premier Zhang, Secretary of the CPC Guangxi Provincial Committee Peng Qinghua and Secretary of the CPC Guilin Municipal Committee Zhao Leqin. In Hong Kong, PM met HKSAR Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying, Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Vice-Chairman Tung Chee Hwa, as well as Hong Kong business leaders.
