Visit to Myanmar - Jun 2016

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong made an official visit to Myanmar from 7 to 9 June 2016. PM visited Nay Pyi Taw from 7 to 8 June 2016 and Yangon from 8 to 9 June 2016. PM’s visit coincided with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Myanmar.

In Nay Pyi Taw, PM met President U Htin Kyaw, State Counsellor, Union Minister in the President’s Office and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and Chairman of Union Solidarity and Development Party and former President U Thein Sein.

In Yangon, PM officiated at the launch of the Singapore-Myanmar Vocational Training Institute and attended a reception with Singaporeans.
