DPM Heng Swee Keat to visit Switzerland and Germany (25 to 30 June 2023)

Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Heng Swee Keat will make a working visit to Switzerland and Germany from 25 to 30 June 2023.

 

Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies Heng Swee Keat will make a working visit to Switzerland and Germany from 25 to 30 June 2023.

As part of the working visit, DPM Heng will deliver the opening speech of the Point Zero Forum 2023 on Monday 26 June in Zurich. The Forum is jointly organised by the Swiss State Secretariat for International Finance and Elevandi, a company set up by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to foster an open dialogue between the public and private sectors to advance fintech in the digital economy.

DPM Heng will jointly open the Forum with Karin Keller-Sutter, Switzerland's Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of Finance. He will also engage senior business leaders and leading research institutions in Switzerland.

In Munich, Germany, DPM Heng will engage senior representatives of leading German companies on innovation and advanced manufacturing, as well as discuss key issues related to the global economy. He will also visit the Technical University of Munich (TUM) to attend the TUM Entrepreneurship Day 2023, and exchange views with the leadership of top German research institutions in areas such as quantum technology.

DPM Heng will be accompanied by officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, National Research Foundation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Economic Development Board, and Enterprise Singapore.
