Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong will make his introductory visit to the Republic of the Philippines from 4 to 5 June 2025, at the invitation of Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
Prime Minister Wong will participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at Rizal Monument and receive a ceremonial welcome at Malacañang Palace. Prime Minister Wong will have a delegation meeting with President Marcos Jr., who will host an Official Dinner in honour of Prime Minister Wong. The visit reaffirms Singapore’s commitment to strengthening our excellent partnership with the Philippines and provides an opportunity for the Leaders to exchange views on deepening bilateral ties, as well as regional and global developments.
Prime Minister Wong will be accompanied by Mrs Wong, Senior Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs Sim Ann, as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister’s Office.
During Prime Minister Wong’s absence, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs K Shanmugam will be the Acting Prime Minister.
