PM Lee Hsien Loong to visit Kigali, Rwanda (23 - 27 June 2022)

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will visit Kigali, Rwanda to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), as well as an official bilateral visit, from 23 to 27 June 2022.

 

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will visit Kigali, Rwanda to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) from 23 to 25 June 2022.

The theme for the 2022 CHOGM is “Delivering a Common Future: Connecting, Innovating, Transforming”. Leaders will review developments in the Commonwealth and discuss salient global and regional issues. Prime Minister Lee will also have bilateral meetings with other Commonwealth leaders on the sidelines of CHOGM.

Prime Minister Lee will be accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, as well as officials from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Prime Minister Lee will remain in Kigali for an official bilateral visit from 26 to 27 June, where he will call on President Paul Kagame.

During Prime Minister Lee’s absence, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong will be Acting Prime Minister from 23 June to 28 June 2022.
