PM Lee Hsien Loong to visit the United States of America (26 March to 2 April 2022)

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will make a working visit to the United States from 26 March to 2 April 2022. PM will visit Washington D.C. and New York City.

 

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will make a working visit to the United States from 26 March to 2 April 2022. PM will visit Washington D.C. and New York City. The visit will build on the robust, longstanding and multi-faceted relationship between Singapore and the United States. PM’s last visit to the United States was in September 2019.

In Washington DC, PM will meet with US President Joseph R. Biden Jr. PM will have separate meetings with Vice President Kamala D. Harris and other Cabinet Secretaries. PM will also meet senior members of the US Senate and House of Representatives. The meetings will review and discuss ways to further advance our close cooperation in various fields. PM will also participate in a dialogue at the Council on Foreign Relations.

In New York City, PM will meet with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, industry and financial sector leaders, as well as other prominent US personalities.

PM will be accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Communications and Information Josephine Teo, and officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Communications and Information, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

During PM’s absence, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean will be the Acting Prime Minister.
