SM Tharman Shanmugaratnam to visit New York City and Beijing (20 to 27 Mar 2023)

Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies Tharman Shanmugaratnam will make a working visit to New York City and Beijing, from 20 to 27 March 2023.

In New York over 20-24 March, SM Tharman will participate in the United Nations 2023 Water Conference as Co-Chair of the Global Commission for the Economics of Water (GCEW), and co-chair the final Interactive Dialogue on the Water Action Decade. He will be joined by Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu in the official Singapore delegation.

In Beijing over 26-27 March, SM Tharman will be speaking at the China Development Forum and meeting with economic and financial leaders.

Besides Minister Grace Fu, SM Tharman will be accompanied in New York by officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment, and the Public Utilities Board. In Beijing, he will be accompanied by officials from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
