PM Lee Hsien Loong to visit Trinidad and Tobago for CHOGM, and Cuba (Nov 2009)
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago from 27 - 29 November 2009. After CHOGM, PM Lee will make an official visit to Cuba from 29 November to 1 December 2009.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago from 27 - 29 November 2009. PM Lee will also have bilateral meetings with other Commonwealth Leaders on the sidelines of CHOGM.
After CHOGM, PM Lee will make an official visit to Cuba from 29 November to 1 December 2009. This will be PM Lee's first official visit to the country. PM Lee is scheduled to meet senior Cuban leaders and will visit several scientific and medical institutes, including the Pedro Kouri Institute of Tropical Medicine, Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, and the Latin American School of Medicine.
PM Lee will be accompanied by Mrs Lee, Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, and A*STAR.
