Malaysian Minister of Home Affairs Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 6 February 2014 at the Istana.  Dato’ Seri Zahid Hamidi is on an introductory visit to Singapore from 5 to 7 February 2014 at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs Teo Chee Hean. 

During their meeting, Prime Minister Lee and Dato’ Seri Zahid Hamidi reaffirmed the excellent state of bilateral relations between Singapore and Malaysia.  They had a good discussion on the close partnership between security and law enforcement agencies on both sides, and welcomed further bilateral exchanges.  Prime Minister Lee welcomed the growing cooperation between Singapore and Malaysia, and looked forward to the further deepening of our bilateral ties.
