Call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong by the President of the Republic of Nauru His Excellency Baron Waqa on 26 November 2014.

The President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency Baron Waqa, called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong this afternoon at the Istana.

During their meeting, Prime Minister Lee and President Waqa, who is concurrently Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Police and Emergency Services, Utilities, Public Service and Climate Change, reaffirmed the warm relations between Singapore and Nauru. They discussed developments in Nauru as well as in the South Pacific region. Prime Minister Lee also encouraged increased participation by Nauru in the Singapore Cooperation Programme.

President Waqa, who is on a stopover in Singapore, also visited the Singapore Aviation Academy.
