Dear Prime Minister Valls,

I am deeply saddened to learn of the tragic crash of Air Algerie flight AH 5017, which had more than 50 French nationals on board.  On behalf of the Government and people of Singapore, I offer our condolences to you, the families of the victims, and the French people on this tragedy.  Nothing will bring the victims back, but I hope that their families will find the courage and strength to overcome their grief.

Our thoughts are with the families and the people of France during this sorrowful time.
