Transcript of closing remarks by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong at the 21st Joint Council for Bilateral Cooperation (JCBC) on 15 December 2025.

Your Excellency, Vice Premier Ding, colleagues, we have had a very fruitful and substantive discussion across both the JSCs, as well as the JCBC today.
It is clear that our bilateral cooperation agenda continues to advance our “All-Round High-Quality Future-Oriented Partnership”.
Today’s discussions reaffirm the JCBC’s role as an invaluable platform that allows us to build trust, review progress, and provide high-level direction to drive concrete outcomes.
As we face increasing global uncertainty, it is important that we find ways to broaden, deepen and strengthen our bilateral partnership, so that we can better navigate global uncertainties, seize new opportunities for our economies and businesses, and improve the lives of our people.
Let me conclude by expressing my sincere appreciation to Vice Premier Ding and our colleagues from China for hosting this JCBC.
We look forward to welcoming Vice Premier Ding to Singapore next year for the 22nd JCBC.
I am confident that through our partnership, we will continue to forge new horizons together.
Thank you.
