我很高兴出席新加坡中医师公会成立七十周年的庆典晚宴。

中医和中药源远流长。在世界各地, 包括新加坡，为人们采用。

随着人口老化，许多国人也使用传统中医药来保持健康。

为了符合大众的要求，中医药就必须有所规范。中医师也要更新和提升专业水平。

中医师公会在新加坡多个社区开办诊疗所。这些诊疗所为社会大众提供慈善医疗服务。中医师不分种族，每天让1200 名国人受惠。

公会的中医学院，也为我国培育许多中医人才。学院和北京，南京和广州的中医学院合作，训练中医师。我希望公会继续推动中医走向专业化。

我祝贺中医师公会成立七十周年。我希望公会能百尺竿头，更进一步，继续为人民服务。谢谢。

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good evening!

I am happy to be here today to celebrate the 70th Singapore Chinese Physicians’ Association (SCPA) Anniversary Dinner. 

Chinese medicine and Chinese medication have a long history. It is used in many countries, including Singapore. 

As our population ages, many Singaporeans are also using Traditional Chinese Medicine to stay healthy. 

There is a need to regulate TCM to ensure that it meets public expectations

There is a need to regulate TCM to ensure that it meets public expectations. TCM practitioners must also update and raise their professional standards continually.

SCPA has opened up several TCM clinics in Singapore. These clinics provide a wide range of TCM treatments and services to members of the public. TCM practitioners do not differentiate race and religion, and have helped 1200 Singaporeans daily. 

The SCPA’s Singapore College of TCM has also developed many TCM talents. The College is also working with its counterparts in Beijing, Nanjing and Guangzhou to train TCM practitioners. I hope that the SCPA will continue to play an active role in promoting the professionalisation of TCM.

I would like to congratulate SCPA on its 70th anniversary. I hope SCPA will scale new heights and continue to serve our people. Thank you.
