OPENING OF FOURTEENTH PARLIAMENT OF SINGAPORE

I write to inform you that, when the Fourteenth Parliament first meets on 24 August 2020, the Government will be proposing that Mr Tan Chuan-Jin be re-elected as the Speaker of Parliament.

I have also designated Ms Indranee Rajah as the Leader of the House, to coordinate and manage the Government's parliamentary business.

In discharging her duties, the Leader of the House will be assisted by Mr Zaqy Mohamad, Senior Minister of State for Manpower and Defence as the Deputy Leader of the House.
