President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met President Tony Tan Keng Yam and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong today. President Poroshenko and our leaders reaffirmed the friendly ties between Singapore and Ukraine, and exchanged views on global developments, including the ongoing tensions in eastern Ukraine. Our leaders reiterated Singapore’s support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. They also expressed the need for all parties to respect international law, take steps to de-escalate tensions, and resolve the conflict peacefully.
President Poroshenko will depart tomorrow on 10 December 2014.
