Former Indonesian Vice-President Mr Muhammad Jusuf Kalla paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong this morning. They discussed developments in Indonesia and the region.

Mr Kalla also called on Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs Mr Teo Chee Hean yesterday. They exchanged views on the global economy and regional developments. In addition, Mr Kalla was hosted to lunch by Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law Mr K Shanmugam this afternoon. The discussions over lunch focused on developments in Indonesia.

Mr Kalla is visiting Singapore from 9 to 10 January 2013 in conjunction with a speaking engagement at the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) Regional Outlook Forum 2013.
