Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew wrote a letter to Dr Ma Swan Hoo to express condolences on the passing of her husband, Dr Balaji Sadasivan.

In his condolence letter to Mrs Balaji, MM Lee described Dr Balaji Sadasivan as "a good man with a great heart". MM Lee said he found Dr Balaji an asset to Singapore and to Parliament.
