Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong will visit Bangkok, Thailand, to attend the Singapore-Thailand Leaders’ Retreat on 2 September 2026.

Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong will visit Bangkok on 2 September 2026 for the Singapore-Thailand Leaders’ Retreat. He will be hosted by Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul. This will be their first Leaders’ Retreat. 

The Leaders will review our long-standing defence and economic cooperation, while exploring new opportunities for collaboration in the green and digital economies, energy resilience, food security, and combatting transnational crime. Both leaders will also exchange views on international and regional developments. 

Prime Minister Wong will be accompanied by Mrs Wong, Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations Grace Fu, Minister for Social and Family Development Masagos Zulkifli, and Minister for Digital Development and Information Josephine Teo.
