PM Lee Hsien Loong to visit the People's Republic of China1 (9 to 21 September 2017)

PM Lee Hsien Loong will make an Official Visit to China (Beijing and Xiamen, Fujian Province) from 19 to 21 September 2017 at the invitation of the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang.

 

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will make an Official Visit to China (Beijing and Xiamen, Fujian Province) from 19 to 21 September 2017 at the invitation of the Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang.

In Beijing, Prime Minister will meet President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang who will also host a Welcome Ceremony and a Dinner Banquet, and Chairman of the National People’s Congress Zhang Dejiang.

In Xiamen, Prime Minister will meet and be hosted to lunch by the Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Fujian Provincial Committee You Quan. Prime Minister will visit ST Aerospace Technologies (Xiamen) Company and the Fujian (Xiamen)-Singapore Friendship Polyclinic, the first polyclinic jointly established by Singapore and China in 2011, as well as attend a commemorative event to mark the completion of the refurbishment of the façade of the OCBC Building.

Prime Minister will be accompanied by Mrs Lee, Minister (Defence) Dr Ng Eng Hen, Minister (Foreign Affairs) Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister (Finance) Heng Swee Keat, Minister (Prime Minister’s Office) Chan Chun Sing, Parliamentary Secretary (Home Affairs) (Health) Amrin Amin, as well as officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Trade & Industry and Monetary Authority of Singapore.

During his absence, Mr Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister and Co-ordinating Minister for National Security will be the Acting Prime Minister for the period 19 to 21 September 2017.
