Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will attend the 15th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Hua Hin, Thailand, from 23 to 25 October 2009.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will attend the 15th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Hua Hin, Thailand, from 23 to 25 October 2009. He will be accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo, Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports Vivian Balakrishnan, and senior officials. The ASEAN Coordinating Council Meeting, ASEAN Economic Council Meeting and ASEAN Socio-Cultural Council Meeting will be convened at the Ministerial-level to oversee implementation of the ASEAN Charter.
In addition to the 15th ASEAN Summit, Prime Minister Lee will also participate in ASEAN-Plus-One summits with China, India, Japan and Republic of Korea. Prime Minister Lee will also participate in the 12th ASEAN Plus Three Summit, which involves Leaders from China, Japan, and the Republic of Korea, and the 4th East Asia Summit which will include all ten ASEAN Leaders and their counterparts from Australia, China, India, Japan, New Zealand and Republic of Korea.
During the absence of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean will be the acting Prime Minister.
