The President, acting in his discretion, and in concurrence with the advice of the Prime Minister, has re-appointed Mr Chan Sek Keong as the Chief Justice from 11 April 2009 to 5 November 2012.

The President, acting in his discretion, and in concurrence with the advice of the Prime Minister, has re-appointed Mr Chan Sek Keong as the Chief Justice from 11 April 2009 to 5 November 2012 when he will be 75 years of age.
Mr Chan Sek Keong was first appointed as Chief Justice on 11 April 2006.
The President has also re-appointed Chief Justice Chan Sek Keong as the Chairman of the Presidential Council for Minority Rights for a further term of three years with effect from 11 April 2009.
