Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will attend the 26th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi, Malaysia, from 26 to 27 April 2015. He will be accompanied by Minster for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Law K Shanmugam, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The ASEAN Leaders will discuss progress made towards achieving the ASEAN Community by the end of this year and the direction of ASEAN’s Post-2015 Vision. The Leaders will also exchange views on regional and international issues. They will meet with the ASEAN Business Advisory Council, as well as representatives of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, Civil Society Organisations and ASEAN Youth.
Mr Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister, Co-ordinating Minister for National Security and Minister for Home Affairs, will be the Acting Prime Minister from 26 to 27 April 2015.
