Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong will be visiting Hainan Province, People’s Republic of China, from 7 to 11 April 2010 to attend the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference. At the forum, SM will be inducted as a new member of the BFA's Board of Directors. SM will also participate as a panelist in a luncheon discussion on trade protectionism.
While in Hainan, SM will call on Vice President Xi Jinping and meet the provincial leaders of Hainan. Apart from Boao, SM will visit Haikou and Sanya to update himself on recent economic developments in Hainan. SM will be accompanied by senior officials from PMO and MFA.
