Singapore successfully hosted the year-long series of APEC 2009 meetings, which culminated in the Leaders' Summit on 15-16 November 2009. This was the result of careful planning, hard work and dedicated service by public officials, private sector partners and over 1,000 volunteers.
PM Lee Hsien Loong kept a busy schedule in the week of the Leaders' Summit. He received foreign dignitaries, hosted several meetings and attended functions held in connection with the Summit. Mr Lee also personally looked into various aspects of the APEC preparation work.
