Singapore-Indonesia Leaders' Retreat - Jul 2026

Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong met Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto for the Singapore-Indonesia Leaders' Retreat, held in Jakarta on 6 July 2026. This was the second Leaders' Retreat between PM Wong and President Prabowo, following their inaugural Retreat in Singapore in June 2025.

They reaffirmed the deep and longstanding partnership between Singapore and Indonesia, and welcomed the good progress made since the last Retreat. Both countries concluded several agreements to expand cooperation, including MoUs on environmental cooperation, carbon credits collaboration, digital cooperation and cross-border electricity trading.

PM Wong and President Prabowo also exchanged views on regional and global developments. PM Wong invited President Prabowo to visit Singapore, and both Leaders look forward to celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries in 2027.
