Visit by President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung - Mar 2026

Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong welcomed President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung to Singapore on 2 March 2026.

President Lee and PM Wong had a productive meeting and reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen the Strategic Partnership between Singapore and the Republic of Korea. PM Wong also hosted President Lee and First Lady Kim Hea Kyung to lunch. 

President Lee and PM Wong witnessed the announcement of the Joint Statement on the Launch of the Negotiations to upgrade the KSFTA, and the exchange of five other Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) to enhance cooperation in the areas of civil nuclear energy, science and technology, Intellectual Property, digital technology in public safety and security, and the environment. These agreements reflect the breadth and depth of the Strategic Partnership.
