Visit by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres - Sep 2024

His Excellency António Guterres, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, made an Official Visit to Singapore and met Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong, who also hosted an Official Lunch in his honour, on 2 September 2024.

PM Wong reaffirmed Singapore’s continued strong support for the United Nations, including efforts to strengthen the rules-based multilateral system.

PM Wong also commended H.E. Guterres for his strong leadership of the UN at an exceptionally challenging period globally.
