Visit to the Republic of the Philippines - Jun 2025

Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong visited the Republic of the Philippines from 4 to 5 June 2025.

PM Wong noted that discussions with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. were productive, focusing on concrete ways to broaden the substantive relationship that the two countries have built up over decades. This includes collaboration in emerging areas such as renewable energy and carbon credits, as well as within ASEAN. The two leaders also explored ways to further strengthen people-to-people ties, which remain the bedrock of bilateral relations.
