Visit to Timor-Leste - Jul 2026

Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong visited Timor-Leste from 2 to 3 July 2026.

PM Wong met Timor-Leste President Dr José Ramos-Horta and was conferred the Order of Timor-Leste (Grand Collar). The award recognises Singapore’s contributions to Timor-Leste’s national development, and support for Timor-Leste’s membership in ASEAN.   

PM Wong was hosted to a State Banquet Lunch by PM Gusmão. They witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on the Establishment of Bilateral Consultations and held a Joint Press Conference.
