The Medal of Bravery (Pingat Jasa Berani)

The Medal of Bravery was instituted in 2025.
The Medal may be awarded to any person for acts of exemplary bravery in hazardous circumstances.
The Medal is silver-gilt and consists, on the observe side, a diagonal Maltese cross combined with a four-pointed star, arranged in a compass rose design superimposed on two crossed swords. In its centre is a shield bearing a crescent and five stars positioned over another pair of crossed swords, and at its base is a scroll bearing the words “PINGAT JASA BERANI”. The reverse side of the Medal bears the National Coat of Arms.
The medal is to be worn on the left side of the outer garment suspended by a ribbon. The ribbon is white with a red edging and a purple centre band.
